Runway Report_ It was obvious that the Rodarte sisters had a clear vision in their Fall 2012 collection—> Demure, Subtle, Timeless.

Their areas of focus were their necklines/collars. Most of the necklines were crew-necks (which sometimes seems like it can be boring) but they found ways to make them POP and give them newness by adding Peter Pan collars, insets, lace, cowls and 3D texture. But by far my absolute favorite were their stand alone convertible collars and contrasting/wrap around lapels. And let’s not forget their STAND OUT hand print as if to say “We know you’re going to want your hands all over this”. I’m onto you Rodarte- and you know me so well *wink wink*

@danielbetan up and coming runway journalist fashion blogger extraordinaire

danielbetancourt:

NEW YORK - Versace is pulling out all the stops for its Versace for H&M collection, runway show and after party.

Quotes from a red carpet moment:

“Now everyone gets to feel what it’s like to wear Versace,” Says Jessica Alba.

“Now I don’t have to go to the stores and steal it off the racks!” Says Blake Lively.

Donatella adds, “I’m very excited, it’s been a long time since we start to work and now is the finale!”

Uma Thurman thinks it’s wonderful and exciting that high fashion can make itself available to the general public.

Says actor Zachary Quinto: “It’s just so colorful and vivid and bright. I think it looks amazing,”

After the show, singer Jennifer Hudson says, “Versace took H&M to a whole new level.”

Wearing a raspberry colored suit, Prince performs at the after party. It was a memorable night.

Appearances: Donatella Versace, Jessica Alba, Blake Lively, Uma Thurman, Margareta Van Den Bosch (Creative Advisor, H&M), Coco Rocha, Emma Roberts, Selma Blair, Stephen Dorff, Jennifer Hudson, Hilary Alexander, Zachary Quinto, Prince, Natasha Poly, Nicki Minaj and Linda Envangelista.

On the side note: I found myself with mix feelings about the entire collection I do love the prints and being part of such colorful extravaganza… but you know…. there is always a but…… I don’t think is something must people will just go right ahead and choose to wear is def. a collaboration for those with a big open mind on being #Fashion-Forward.

What you guys think?

Tell me your thoughts?

Much Love to each and one of you Fashion & Life Lovers  - DB
